1. Availability of eclipse glasses

Very often vendors run out of stock as we get closer to the eclipse date. 

SolarEclipseSpain.com tries to frequently verify that the vendors we list have eclipse glasses available.

2. Price of the Eclipse glasses

We list both the total price as well as the price per unit for easy comparison.

While eclipse glasses are a cheap product, it is still worth comparing. And while most eclipse glasses are very similar in their design and style, one of the few differentiating factors is the price, so why not save a little on your purchase.

3. Shipping cost

The shipping cost is very similar between vendors. Some vendors offer free shipping as of a certain minimum purchase quantity.

We have verified the shipping cost of each vendor per quantity of glasses to reflect this.

4. Shipping destinations

All vendors ship to peninsular Spain. 

Some ship only to/in Spain, others to the entire European Union or Worldwide.

Most vendors are located in Spain, however some vendors are located in other countries. Often those last vendors have a higher shipping cost to Spain (where most buyers are located).

For many reasons, if you are in Spain, we recommend buying from a vendor located in Spain.

5. Trustworthiness of the vendor

Questions to check:

• Can you verify who the company/owner is? Or is it an obscure website without verifiable information?
• How long does the company exist?
• Are they dedicated to selling (eclipse) glasses, or is this a one-time opportunity for them and they are likely to vanish after the solar eclipse(s)?
• Do they only have online presence or also one or multiple physical stores where you can actually talk to a person?

6. Customer support

Questions to ask:

• Does the vendor provide multilingual customer support? 
• Can Customer Support be reached 24/7? 
• Do they answer quickly? 
• Does the customer support meet high standards of professionalism and efficiency?

We have not verified the quality of Customer Support of the vendors. We recommend checking Google Reviews or other review/rating options.

7. Design

This is very subjective and for some this is not important at all, for others it is. 

From our point of view, one of the most prominent brands sold by many vendors has also the simplest, plainest, even unattractive designs, yet they are among the cheapest glasses on the market. 

In contrast, Spectrum has a very striking colorful design and at the same time their price seems to be the lowest in the market.

8. Promotions

While this might be easily overlooked, it might be worth looking if a vendor offers any kind of promotional activities, coupons, discounts, raffles or prizes.

To our surprise, we only found one vendor – Spectrum – that offers very attractive promotions. Not just one promotion, but an entire series of discounts, raffles and contests!
